This will be The Rev. Norman MacLeod's last Sunday with Calvary Church as Part-Time Interim Priest-in-Charge. He has helped us to keep our faith and our focus during this time of transition. We are profoundly appreciative of Norman's work with us and wish him every blessing going forward.

Please join us for a celebratory refreshment hour thanking Norman after the 10 am service.

Correction: Prayer Group

Calvary's Prayer group meets the second and fourth Friday at 11am in the sacristy. Not the first and fourth as reported in last week's NOTES. All are welcome to join in person or spirit. If you have any questions please contact Karen McGee at 513-919-1542 or mcgeecnm@yahoo.com.

Our Next Porch Party

Porch Party Poster JUL 18 FINAL.jpg

Please join us on July 18, from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. for a relaxing evening to get to know each other better. There is no agenda—except fellowship!

The event will be outside (or in an outdoor structure, in case of inclement weather), bring the kids, yard games and a simple munchie to share. Pack your cooler with whatever your family likes to drink. Hosts provide the venue and tables.

Hope to see you there!!!

Calvary Film Festival

Tuesday Evenings at 7pm

As part of the Adult Christian Education program, Calvary Church offers carefully curated films to be shown in the Parish Hall (unless otherwise noted), free of charge.

Next film: July 9, 2019

All the President’s Men: The film that launched a thousand journalism school students, All the President's Men chronicles how the work of reporters Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) contributed to the public downfall of President Richard M. Nixon. The duo connected a Washington, D.C., hotel break-in with a Nixon “dirty tricks” team assigned to discredit Democratic rivals, launching a series of tense events that forced Nixon to resign.

Mark your Calendar to Welcome the Reverend Gillian Barr

One service at 9am, Sunday, August 4

There will be a festive refreshment hour after the service so that we can celebrate Gillian's arrival all together.

Many Thanks to Lucia Johnstone and ProClean

Lucia Johnstone knows her stuff. She recommended that Calvary ask ProClean to prepare the Rectory for The Rev. Gillian Barr's arrival. We did and ProClean did. Not only did ProClean clean the Rectory top to bottom, including windows, but they did it as a pro bono gift to the church. They did a stellar job and we are very grateful.
