Trinity Icon - Rublev.jpg

Dear Members and Friends of Calvary,

Andrei Rublev created an icon 600 years ago which still shines today as an expression of the mystery of the Holy Trinity. This Sunday this glorious and confounding way of describing the power and reach of our God will be at the heart of our worship.

Join us as we contemplate the Three in One and celebrate what God’s identity as a Being in total relationship with us might mean.

Many blessings,

World Refugee Day,

Thursday, June 20

“On World Refugee Day, pray, learn about refugees, learn about what you can do, and do whatever you can to help the strangers in our midst.”

June Porch Party.jpg

This is the first in a series of gatherings at parishioners’ homes this summer.  A relaxing evening to get to know each other better.  The parameters are simple: all events are held outside (or in an outdoor structure, in case of inclement weather), bring the kids, yard games and a simple munchie to share.  Pack your cooler with whatever your family likes to drink and reusable dishes/glassware.  Hosts provide the venue and tables.

 Hope to see you there!!!

Future dates & locations to be announced

Mexico Border Ministries:
Information & Opportunities

5:30 p.m., Monday, June 24 - St. James Church, New London

Dear Friends at Calvary Church,

The images that we see from life along our border with Mexico evoke a range of responses, and often a desire to do something. A group in St. James’, New London has recently heard first-hand accounts, and has received a list of different agencies and groups ministering along the border.

You are invited to come learn more about their findings on Monday, June 24th at 5:30pm at St. James: 76 Federal St., New London. We hope to have recent visitors to the border present as well. Whether or not you can attend, we ask your prayers and thoughtful participation in how God is calling us to respond as people who bear witness to the love of God for all.

Thank you,

Rachel Thomas,
Southeast Region Missionary
